Welcome to Camping The Camp!

We are a community of outdoor enthusiasts who want to share our passion for camping. Our goal is to provide fellow campers with helpful information, resources, and stories to plan your next great camping adventure.

My name is Evelyn and I started Camping The Camp to combine my love of the outdoors with my background in environmental science. After too many years stuck indoors and disconnected from nature during university and early career days, I rediscovered a joy for camping thanks to my husband Jake.

What began as a weekend trip to rekindle our relationship turned into a summer of weekend getaways together as a family. Roasting marshmallows under the stars, taking hikes through state parks, and spending device-free quality time together made me realize what I had been missing all those years.

Now, we try to camp as often as possible – packing up the RV with our three kids, fur baby Max, and occasionally friends for a weekend away from the stresses of daily life. After 20 family camping trips all over North America, I have a lot of firsthand experience to share with other families looking to connect more through camping.
